Matt Barkley played

Of all the backups that played, the No. 1 that was anticipated was quarterback Matt Barkley. Against the Jets last season, he was a surprise start and the Bills torched the Jets. In Week 17 this time around, the Bills’ backup QB didn’t look very good.

Barkley hit some deep passes late which looked good, but that’s about it. Josh Allen’s backup turned the ball over a few times which was on him. But the talent around him was also suspect and is worth mentioning, so there’s a silver lining there. Overall, Barkley finished the game 18-for-35 passing for 232 yards with two interceptions. Barkley also lost a fumble and had two in total and really should have had three fumbles but it was overturned.
