5 reasons why Georgia football will beat TAMU on Saturday

Here are five reasons why UGA football will beat the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday in Athens, Georgia.

Senior night

Georgia seniors and a few juniors will never forgive themselves if they did not leave it all on the field in what will be their final home game as a Georgia Bulldog.

Yep, it’s senior day on Saturday and Georgia has a decent number of guys who may never play another snap between the hedges.

That includes seniors Tae Crowder, J.R. Reed, Brian Herrien, Tyler Clark, Rodrigo Blankenship, Lawrence Cager and others.

Juniors Jake Fromm, D’Andre Swift, Andrew Thomas, Richard LeCounte, etc. could also be playing their final game in Athens.

The 2019 Bulldog seniors enter Saturday’s contest with a 41-11 record, three SEC Eastern Division crowns and one SEC title (2017). The most wins by a senior class belongs to the 2005 group that went 44-9 and claimed a pair of SEC titles (2002, 2005). Georgia’s most decorated senior class came in 1983 as they went 43-4-1, winning the 1980 National Championship and three SEC titles (1980-82). Last year’s senior class concluded their career with a 42-13 record, which ranks tied for third best in school history (2004 seniors also went 42-10). Forty-one wins is fifth in school history.
