On Thursday night, the first round of the 2022 NFL draft took place in Las Vegas. Lifelong dreams were fulfilled for 32 former college football players as they heard their names called as NFL draft selections.
One such athlete was former Alabama star offensive lineman Evan Neal. Neal didn’t have to wait long for the New York Giants to select him with the No. 7 pick.
Neal was a three-year starter for Nick Saban and Alabama at multiple positions along the offensive line. In his freshman season, Neal started for the Tide at right guard. During his sophomore season, Neal moved to right tackle. He moved to left tackle as a true junior during the 2021 season.
