What if Collin Johnson was not injured all year?
After a solid junior season, wide receiver Collin Johnson decided he was going to delay his entry into the NFL and come back to Texas for his senior season. Sadly, Johnson missed multiple games this year, dealing with a couple of injuries.
When he did play, he was amazing for the Longhorns. Playing in seven games this season, he had at least five receptions in four of them. His best game of the season came against Kansas State, going for 110 yards with seven receptions and a touchdown.
He came back for the bowl game against Utah, making a huge impact with his three catches, 62 yards, and a touchdown. With how effective he was when he played all year the question looms, what if he was healthy all season?
Johnson played in the two big games this season in LSU and Oklahoma but did not play in two of the other three losses Texas had this season. Rivaling Duvernay as the best wide receiver on the team, having a healthy Collin Johnson would have made this offense more explosive than it already was.
Maybe he could have prevented losses when the offense was horrible against Iowa State and Baylor. At the very least, he would have been a red-zone target for Ehlinger and the passing game. A healthy Johnson creates a totally new season for the Longhorns.
