49ers TE George Kittle is ‘good to go’ for Sunday’s game vs. Broncos

49ers TE George Kittle is “good to go” and will make his season debut against the Broncos on Sunday night.

The San Francisco 49ers got some good news on the injury front regarding tight end George Kittle, who will make his season debut against the Denver Broncos on Sunday night.

Kittle has been battling a groin injury that held him out of the first two games this season. Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that there are no restrictions on Kittle and that he’s “good to go” for Sunday’s game.

Kittle’s return will not only help the 49ers passing attack, where Jimmy Garoppolo will make his first start of the season, but his blocking should bolster the running game.

“He means a ton in both (facets),” Shanahan told reporters Friday, via The Mercury News. “He’s one of our better players. Having him out there is a huge deal for us.”

The 49ers and Broncos will square off in prime time on Sunday Night Football.
