49ers injuries: OL Jaylon Moore leaves Day 6 of training camp early

The #49ers OL depth may get tested early in camp.

The 49ers on Tuesday had their first real injury scare of training camp when veteran offensive lineman Jaylon Moore went down with an apparent leg injury.

ESPN’s Nick Wagoner tweeted that Moore appeared to suffer left knee injury. The severity and exact nature of Moore’s ailment were unknown immediately after Tuesday’s session.

Moore limped off the field slowly and took a cart to the locker room.

This would be a fairly significant blow to an already thin 49ers offensive line. Moore was receiving first-team reps at left tackle while Trent Williams wasn’t in during team drills. That’s an indicator that Moore is the likely favorite to win the swing tackle job.

If he’s out for an extended period, second-year OL Leroy Watson and veteran Matt Pryor would be next in line for the swing tackle job. Although if Moore suffered a serious injury the team may look at available free agents to bring in for additional competition.
