4. Eagles must finish strong
The setup isn’t the same as last season, but the Eagles will again be put into a position to control their own destiny down the stretch. In the midst of that brutal three-game stretch is an opportunity for the Birds to stamp their ticket to the playoffs while vying for a top seed.
In the final six weeks of the season, the Eagles will host Seattle on a Monday night (Week 12), travel to Green Bay (Week 13), host the New Orleans Saints (Week 14), travel to face the Arizona Cardinals (Week 15) and Dallas Cowboys (Week 16) before playing the season finale against the Redskins at home (Week 17).
That’s six NFC games against four teams that’ll definitely be in the playoff mix. Wins against the Cardinals could dictate both team’s playoff chances while the season finale offers the Eagles an opportunity to finish on a positive note in front of their home fans.
