4 takeaways from Broncos’ 27-17 win over Lions

The Denver Broncos improved to 6-9 following a 27-17 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 16. Here are four takeaways from the game.

3. The Color Rush uniforms are the team’s best

When the league introduced the Color Rush concept, most of the uniforms worn by other teams around the league were pretty forgettable. The Broncos are not among those.

I’m a sucker for the old “D” and horse logo on the helmet and have always believed it to be much better than the current logo. The Color Rush helmet and orange jersey are great and it is easily the best look of any of the team’s uniform combinations.

4. DaeSean Hamilton has a great day

For many receivers, catching six passes for 65 yards and a touchdown is just another day at the office, but for Hamilton, it was a big performance.

About a month ago I talked about the need for Hamilton to step up for the team as time was running out for him to do so. The term “draft bust” was already connected to his name.

At least he has something to build off of with his big game on Sunday and maybe with Lock at the helm, there is a key role in the offense for him after all.
