4 key matchups to watch as Saints play Falcons on Thanksgiving

Matchups like Marshon Lattimore versus Julio Jones will define Thanksgiving’s game between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons.

If both Jones and Lattimore end up being unavailable on Thanksgiving, then each team will have to lean hard on their backups. Williams has started in Lattimore’s place the last two games, and the secondary’s defense has been noticeably inconsistent. Carolina Panthers second-string quarterback Kyle Allen threw three touchdowns against the Saints just one week after throwing four interceptions (to the Falcons, of course).

However, Williams did a great job in Week 11 against the Buccaneers, especially considering he had to go up against Evans and the prolific Chris Godwin. The Falcons’ Gage is not in the same tier of receiver as Jones, Evans or Godwin, but Williams will still have his work cut out for him if the two have to lineup against each other on Thursday.
