3-Point Shot Wisconsin vs. Nebraska

What are three things Wisconsin needs to do in order to beat Nebraska on the road?

3-POINTER: WISCONSIN’S ABILITY TO GENERATE QUALITY SHOTS

Nebraska’s defense has had its struggles this year as they rank last in both scoring defense (77.3 points per game) and in field goal defensive percentage (45.7 percent on 383-for-838 shooting) over conference play.

In the first meeting, Wisconsin shot 29-for-63 (46 percent) from the field, which includes the Badgers shooting an impressive 18-for-34 (52.9 percent) from three.

It is unlikely Wisconsin shoots from three as well as they did in the first matchup but since allowing the Badgers to make 18 of their 3-point attempts the next five opponents the Cornhuskers have faced made at least seven of their 3-point attempts on an average of 24.6 attempts a game.

With Nebraska struggling to consistently stop opposing offenses makes it important that the Badgers don’t rush anything on the offensive end.

Trice and Trevor Anderson will be counted on to run the offense effectively and make sure they set the Badgers up with quality shots. Whether that’s getting the basketball down low for Reuvers or Micah Potter to have success around the basket or creating an open look from three the Badgers will need to get into a rhythm early against the Cornhuskers.

If they can the Badgers should be able to control the game and try to build a lead over Nebraska.
