3-Point Shot Wisconsin vs. Michigan

What are three things Wisconsin needs to do against Michigan on Thursday night?

MID-RANGE: CAN WISCONSIN KEEP ITS HOT 3-POINT SHOOTING GOING?

Wisconsin went 11-for-22 from 3-point range in their win against Rutgers as it marked the fourth straight game where the Badgers have made at least 11 three’s.

Over the last four games, the Badgers have shot 50-for-116 (43.1 percent) from three. In fact, 150 of Wisconsin’s 299 points they have scored over their last four games have come from 3-point range.

It isn’t difficult to see the importance the three have played in the Badgers current winning streak but can the Badgers keep their hot shooting from three going against Michigan?

It will be difficult to make it five games in a row when you consider Michigan is holding teams to shoot 30.9 percent from three, which ranks fourth over conference play. Not to mention the 85 made three’s by Michigan opponents are the fewest over conference play.

If Wisconsin is going to develop the same success they’ve had over the last four games the Badgers will rely on Brad Davison, D’Mitrik Trice, Brevin Pritzl, Aleem Ford, and Micah Potter.

In particular, Davison and Trice have been impressive over their last four games from three as Davison has shot 14-for-25 and Trice is 10-for-20. Between Ford (8-for-21), Pritzl (8-for-20), and Potter (5-for-10) the trio has shot a combined 21-for-51 (41.1 percent) from three.

It will begin with Wisconsin staying patient on offense and not allowing for the Wolverines defense to hurry them up and not forcing any shots from three. If Wisconsin can do their best in creating open looks for themselves from 3-point range they will give themselves the opportunity of getting into a rhythm from 3-point range.
