OL Trey Adams
Vitals: 6-foot-8, 311 pounds
Trey Adams has some unfortunate circumstances in his college career. Entering his junior year, many expected it to be his final year at Washington and the impressive prospect would enter the draft as an underclassman, perhaps a guy selected on Day 2 of the draft. He has good size and talent. But he suffered an ACL injury in 2017 which set him way back. He proved last season he was healthy though, starting every game. In terms of what he can do on the field, Pro Football Focus ranked Adams as their 38th best available UDFA following the draft.
Also factoring into Adams’s chances is how the 2020 draft went for Buffalo. The team did not select a singe offensive lineman. Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane also interestingly acknowledged following the draft that he wanted to trade up for an unnamed O-line prospect, but failed to do so. That certainly will not guarantee a spot for Adams on the Bills’ final roster, but clearly there’s a desire there to inject some younger prospects to groom for the future on Buffalo’s offensive line.
