Dean Marlowe sighting

Speaking of depth guys, here’s another: Dean Marlowe. Not a roster lock, it will be curious to see what the Bills do with him. Not overly aged at 28, but the Bills have selected younger options over the past few years including Jaquan Johnson and Siran Neal. Still, it appears those guys won’t be muscling Marlowe’s job from him.

Since 2017, the Bills have luckily been very healthy in regard to safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde. The No. 3 backing them up on occasion has been Marlowe, who also played in McDermott’s defense with the Panthers. On Sunday, Marlowe had a good practice, potentially locking up that job once again in 2020. Marlowe had an early interception of Barkley on the day, and then also had a pass breakup which nearly was an interception according to Syracuse.com. So far in camp, we really haven’t heard much about the guys behind Marlowe, so he’s probably safe.
