3 Jaguars to watch on defense vs. Bucs

The Jags defense will need to have a solid day Sunday against the Bucs passing attack, which could lead to Josh Allen getting more snaps.

The Jags’ staff said they want to get rookie Josh Allen more involved heading into Week 12’s game against the Tennessee Titans because he’s had a strong season and could be the Defensive Rookie of the Year. However, that didn’t happen. In fact, he had his lowest snap count of the year (23 plays), which was good for 43% of the team’s defensive snaps. That can’t happen going forward, especially against the pass-happy Bucs.

I think Allen will come into Week 13 motivated as a result of his lack of playtime. He already has a team-high of eight sacks to his name, and it’s a given he’s eying double-digit sacks to help solidify his Pro Bowl chances as he’s acquired the second-most votes at defensive end for the AFC.
