3 Browns earn spots on the PFWA all-rookie team

The Browns first two draft picks from 2021 had very good rookie campaigns

Three members of the Cleveland Browns draft class of 2021 did well enough for themselves to earn spots on the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) all-rookie team.

The trio includes the team’s first two selections in the 2021 NFL draft, CB Greg Newsome and LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. They were joined by sixth-round RB Demetric Felton, who earned his way on the team as the punt return specialist.

Newsome, the No. 26 overall pick from Northwestern, started 10 of the 11 games he played while missing six with injuries. He registered 37 tackles and nine PDs. Owusu-Koramoah finished second on the team with 76 total tackles in 14 games. Felton led all rookies in both punt return yards and average.

In full disclosure, I am a PFWA voter and did vote for Newsome, Owusu-Koramoah and Felton.
