It’s no secret that the Big 12 conference is flooded with offensive playmakers.
The high powered offenses are once again the talk of the offseason, even with new quarterbacks at numerous programs. Kansas State, Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa State and West Virginia are expected to have a new face under center next season. Texas Tech and TCU could join that list as well if they choose to take the younger, inexperienced route.
There are also several returners who have patiently climbed the depth chart that are poised for a breakout season in 2022. 247Sports recently predicted one breakout player for each Big 12 team for this upcoming season, and the list was flooded with wide receivers.
Of the 10 players at each school, five were wide receivers, two were quarterbacks, one was a running back, and there were two defensive players chosen.
