2025 4-star CB out of Pearland (TX) has placed Texas A&M in his Top 6 program list

Texas A&M has made the cut for 2025 4-star cornerback Cobey Sellers.

During Texas A&M Baseball’s opening season win over McNeese State on Friday night, head football coach Mike Elko, who sat down for an early game interview, explained that he wears two hats in his position: one as the program’s coach and one as Texas A&M Football’s CEO.

In the ever-changing landscape of NIL, coupled with the growing number of transfer portal members year after year, Elko is ready for the challenge and after landing several players in the 2025 recruiting class earlier this month, 2025 4-star cornerback Cobey Sellers out of Pearland (TX) has placed the Aggies in his Top 6 program list.

Texas A&M and former head coach Jimbo Fisher offered Sellers back In early June, joining nearly 30 programs vying for his commitment. On Saturday, Sellers slimmed down his list to include LSU, Oregon, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia and Texas A&M.

Standing at 5 11 and nearly 180 pounds, Sellers has performed at several positions on both sides of the ball during his high school career but displays the length, speed, and ball instincts to thrive at the cornerback position for years to come.

According to 247Sports, Sellers is currently positioned as the 124th prospect in the 2025 cycle, the 17th-ranked cornerback, and the 18th-ranked player in Texas.
