2024 4-Star SG Jared Harris places Texas A&M in his Top 10 program list

2024 4-star shooting guard Jared Harris has placed Texas A&M in his Top 10 program list

Texas A&M Head Basketball Coach Buzz Williams, who is hot off a 25-10 (15-3 SEC) 2022 season, has already accumulated an impressive 2024 recruiting class, receiving verbal commitments from four-star small forward Rob Dockery, four-star guard Andre Mills, and three-star shooting guard Andre Mills. He is currently ranked fourth in the class rankings.

This week, 2024, four-star shooting guard Jared Harris, one of the rising prospects in the cycle, has released his Top 10 program list, including Mississippi State, Colorado, Kansas, Memphis, Illinois, Arkansas, Depaul, LSU, Alabama, and Texas A&M.

Harris is entering his senior season at Silsbee (TX), where he is a teammate of current 2024 Aggie football commit, four-star wide receiver Drelon Miller, who may or may night have a slight influence on his decision. According to 247Sports Composite, Harris is currently positioned as the 75 player in the 2024 class, the 14th-ranked SG, and the 3rd-ranked player in Texas.

Standing at 6-2 and just 160 pounds, Harris is a long-armed pure scorer with loads of potential as a future offensive focal point. For more insight, here is 247Sports recruiting analyst Brandon Jenkin’s scouting report on Harris:

“He can connect on open shots with deep range and a clean release. However, his jumper and an overall game can be streaky. There are times where his level of intensity tends to waver and his body language leaves a lot to be desired. When motivated and locked in, his talent level meets his production and he looks the part of a skilled and athletic guard who can reach his potential. He brings great tools to the backcourt when factoring in his length, athleticism, and shooting prowess. His mentality and willingness to buy in will be key when discussing his level of efficiency and production at the collegiate level.”

After Buzz Williams’ offered Harris last summer, I’d expect a visit to be scheduled much sooner than later, especially since he has already scheduled visits with Kansas, Mississippi State, and Colorado in September.
