Underrated prospects are Texas A&M and head coach Jimbo Fisher’s bread and butter. In the 2024 cycle, three-star defensive back Rodney Bimage is pretty much the definition of an underrated prospect.
Bimage, a current favorite to land with the Maroon and White by multiple outlets, released his final Top 7 program list on Saturday night, including Florida State, Florida, Arizona State, TCU, Texas, Kansas, and Texas A&M.
Entering his senior season at Dickinson High School in Dickinson, Texas, Bimage is hands down one of the most challenging, fastest, and most instinctual defensive backs in the class, possessing the ball skills needed to thrive at the collegiate level. According to Rivals, he is presently ranked as the 56th defensive back and the 99th-ranked player in Texas, again echoing his underrated status to a T.

The Kansas Jayhawks are A&M’s primary opponent for Bimage from now on, as third-year head coach Lance Leipold is building something in Lawrence, Kansas, and just like Jimbo Fisher, his eye for talent extends beyond what meets the eye at first glance. So far, Bimage has taken just one unofficial visit to College Station back in March, but knowing Fisher’s track record, expect an official visit to be scheduled within the next couple of months.
