Thompson is also ranked as the No. 15 strongside defensive end and No. 116 overall recruit in the nation in 247Sports composite rankings.
Michigan State was the first of many big-time schools to offer Thompson, with the Spartans extending a scholarship offer on Feb. 11. Since then, Thompson has also picked up scholarship offers from Michigan, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Georgia, Penn State and numerous Mid-American Conference (MAC) schools.
Keep an eye on the recruitment of Thompson as he is surely going to be a big target for the Spartans.
