2022 NFL draft: Bills trade back twice in second round with Buccaneers, Bengals

2022 NFL draft: #Bills trade back in second round with #Buccaneers:

With their second pick at the 2022 NFL draft, the Buffalo Bills have selected… a trade back.

Twice.

The Bills have decided to not use their second rounder, opting to move down four slots.

Buffalo sent the pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bills received the No. 60 overall pick in the deal, sending No. 57 to the Bucs.

In addition, the Bills gained an extra sixth-round selection in the trade (180). Full details:

A reason for the Bills moving back a few slots is for them to regain the pick they lost on Thursday.

In Round 1, Buffalo sent a fourth-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens to move up two slots to the 23rd pick. There, the Bills picked up Florida cornerback Kaiir Elam.

… The Bills were just getting started there.

Buffalo then traded back once more, this time with the Cincinnati Bengals. Again, the Bills picked up an addition sixth-round pick:

With the new found Day 3 selections, here’s Buffalo’s full rundown of picks on Saturday:

  • Round 5, pick 168
  • Round 6, pick 180 (via Bucs)
  • Round 5 pick 185 (via Carolina Panthers)
  • Round 6, pick 203
  • Round 6, pick 209 (via Bengals)
  • Round 7, pick 231 (via Atlanta Falcons)
