Penn State’s Pat Freiermuth is a traditional, big-frame tight end who can be a decent blocker. He can line up in the slot, or in a two-point stance in the backfield.

In high school, Pat played forward in basketball, and was a linebacker on the other side of the ball for the football team. He received over 20 scholarship offers as a four-star recruit.

He ended his college career with 69 receptions for 875 yards 15 touchdowns in 26 games. He received Second Team All-Big Ten honors in 2019, and was First Team All-Big Ten in 2020, despite playing just four games due to a shoulder injury.
