2020 NFL mock draft: Latest 4-round projections

Luke Easterling updates his four-round projections for the 2020 NFL Draft

6. Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Herbert | QB | Oregon

The Bolts have many needs, and quite a few quality options in this scenario, but nothing matters if you don’t have a franchise quarterback. Tyrod Taylor can be a solid bridge for now, but Herbert gives them a polished, experienced prospect who can quickly take the torch and replace Philip Rivers for the long run.

7. Carolina Panthers

Isaiah Simmons | LB | Clemson

Luke Kuechly’s unexpected retirement has left Carolina with a gaping hole at the heart of their defense, but this scenario gives them the perfect chance to find a dynamic replacement. Simmons is arguably the best athlete in this entire draft, and his versatility should allow him to make a huge impact all over the field at the next level.

8. Arizona Cardinals

Derrick Brown | DL | Auburn

Yes, offensive tackle is a need, and the Cards need to do everything they can to help Kyler Murray succeed. But that also means giving him a strong defense, and this team desperately needs a difference-maker in the middle to replace what they’ve been missing since Calais Campbell’s departure. Brown is a ridiculous athlete for his size, and a disruptive force up front.

9. Jacksonville Jaguars

CJ Henderson | CB | Florida

Our first big surprise of the top 10, but by Thursday, I’m betting it won’t be. Henderson’s combination of height, length, ball skills and instincts are absolutely worthy of top-10 consideration. The Jags have traded away Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye in the last year, and they desperately need to find a true No. 1 corner in this draft.

10. Cleveland Browns

Andrew Thomas | OT | Georgia

Signing Jack Conklin in free agency shores up the right tackle spot, but the Browns still need a solution at left tackle. With only one tackle off the board at this point, it’s a great scenario for Cleveland, with multiple options that fit and give them great value. Thomas is the most polished, pro-ready prospect with tons of left tackle experience, making him the best fit.
