2020 NFL mock draft: Broncos select WR Henry Ruggs with 15th overall pick

In this new 2020 NFL mock draft, the Broncos select Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs with the 15th overall pick.

In a new 2020 NFL mock draft for USA TODAY Sports, Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz has the Denver Broncos selecting Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs III with the 15th overall pick.

“Dismissing offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello after only one season and installing Pat Shurmur as his replacement proved Denver won’t settle for status quo as Drew Lock enters Year 2 as the team’s long-sought answer at quarterback,” Schwartz wrote alongside Denver’s pick.

The Broncos will need to add at least two receivers this offseason to complement Pro Bowler Courtland Sutton. Shurmur frequently uses three-wide receiver formations and Denver doesn’t have much depth behind Sutton.

Ruggs (6-0, 190 pounds) could be a good fit. During his three years with the Crimson Tide, Ruggs caught 98 passes for 1,716 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Schwartz has the Bengals selecting LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with the first overall pick and the 49ers selecting Alabama safety Xavier McKinney with pick No. 32. To view the complete NFL mock draft, click here.
