2020 NFL Draft: Updated big board, Texas trio amidst Top 150

The Texas trio of Brandon Jones, Collin Johnson and Devin Duvernay each appeared on Draft Wire’s top 150 overall draft prospects.

The 2020 NFL Scouting Combine is officially underway.

Just prior to the prestigious invite-only event for the nation’s top draft prospects, our colleagues at the Draft Wire released an updated big board of prospect rankings for the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Texas trio of safety Brandon Jones and wide receivers Collin Johnson and Devin Duvernay were listed among the top 150 available players.

Although medical tests are crucial for players like Jones and Johnson who experienced injuries throughout the past year, one of the most important aspects of the Combine is the interview process. This could realistically improve the draft stock of all three former Longhorns, as they are each men who represent themselves with high character and impeccable work ethic.

Excellent tackling abilities, very physical style of play. As a team captain for the 2019 season, he led the team with 55 tackles. Jones can potentially start at strong safety at the next level. Rated the No. 6 safety in this class by Draft Wire.

His lengthy frame is hard to miss each time he steps onto the field, but Johnson also showcases impressive route running. He has highlighted several acrobatic catches in clutch moments with Texas. After a notable Senior Bowl performance, Johnson is currently the No. 21 receiver in this class according to Sports Illustrated.

Hands: 9 1/2″

Duvernay was one of the most underrated players in 2019, did not miss a single game throughout his four-year collegiate career. The speedy slot receiver led the nation in both receptions and receptions per game. Rated the No. 14 overall receiver in this draft class according to CBS Sports.
