T Dion Dawkins
Dawkins stepped in for Cordy Glen in 2017, and he has held onto the starting left tackle for the past two-and-a-half seasons. He earned a solid score of 73.3 from Pro Football Focus. He will protect Josh Allen’s blindside for at least one more season, as his rookie contract expires after the 2020 season. The Bills traded up for Dawkins in 2017, selecting him in Round 2.

RB Devin Singletary
The team could only keep Singletary under wraps for so long last season. When Motor hit the field, he ran wild. Singletary eventually supplanted veteran Frank Gore as the top option out of the backfield. Singletary averaged 5.1 yards per carry during his rookie year. In addition, he added 29 receptions to the ledger from last year. As of now, he is the undisputed No.1 running back on the roster. Singletary was also selected by the Bills in last year’s third round.
-
DT Ed Oliver
It took a few games to get going, but once Oliver got his feet under him, he became to force that the Bills thought he could be when he was selected ninth overall in last year’s draft. He registered 43 tackles and five sacks last year. Buffalo will look at Oliver as an anchor on the line moving forward. With Jordan Phillips’ departure this offseason, Oliver could be in-line for a breakout season in 2020.
-
QB Josh Allen
Allen took some major steps forward last season. He improved in the intermediate passing game. Allen also took fewer risks, although he did not completely eradicate the questionable decisions last year. Even so, the improvement is promising, as Allen is moving closer to reaching his ceiling as a pro. Allen improved his completion percentage by six-percent and doubled his touchdown total from his rookie year. Like any quarterback, Year 3 will be crucial in 2020.
-
LB Tremaine Edmunds
Edmunds is the quarterback of the Bills defense, taking on even more responsibility in the center of the unit. In two seasons, Edmunds has recorded 236 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, three-and-a-half sacks, and three interceptions. He is a do-it-all player for McDermott’s defense. Oh, and he’ll be only 22 years old when next season starts. The Bills will want him to stick around for the very long term.
-
LB Matt Milano
From a value position, Milano is tops on the chart. He has far outplayed his fifth-round draft position and one of the most under-the-draft players in the entire NFL. The former Boston College product is all over the field, a tackling machine and a solid player in coverage. If there were a re-draft, he would be a Day 1 pick. He has recorded 228 total tackles in three seasons in Buffalo.

CB Tre’Davious White
White is the only player on this list to be named a first-team All-Pro. He was also named to his first Pro Bowl last year along with that honor. White is a shutdown corner who will be a foundation of the Bills defense for a long time. He is on the cups of being a top-tier player at the position. White tied for the league-lead with six interceptions last year.
