While the world battles the coronavirus, the NFL is preparing to provide it with some live sports entertainment via the 2020 NFL Draft. Of course, with social distancing being emphasized and travel restrictions, the NFL will be focusing more on the production of the televised and virtual process than the fan experience this time around.
As for the Jacksonville Jaguars, their draft board is probably set at this point though there could be some adjustments if they get involved in the trade market. Most are expecting general manager Dave Caldwell to get a player in the offensive and defensive trenches with pick No. 9 and attack the team’s other needs afterward.
With the NFL being so unpredictable, maneuvering from their top selections shouldn’t be ruled out either as they have a total of 12 draft picks. As all teams do, they would likely lean on Jimmy Johnson’s draft value chart which was developed in the early 80s.
While the Jags haven’t traded up in the first-round under Caldwell, there is a first time for everything and it shouldn’t be necessarily ruled out. However, what would be more likely is trading up in the second round as he’s done it numerous times to land players like Jawaan Taylor and Cam Robinson to name a few.
All of that said, our superb graphics team put together a chart with each selection’s value and the draft order for our readers to refer to below.
