Sandwiched in between two defensive picks in Draft Wire’s mock is wide receiver Jalen Reagor.
By the draft, many could be clamoring for a first-round talent at this position, but the 2020 draft class is a widely-noted deep class at the wideout spot, so in Round 2, the Bills could get a first-round guy. Could that be Reagor? He is described as a potentially explosive playmaker, but he’s not exactly the big boy some would expect the Bills to target at only 5-foot-11.
Finally, the Bills round things out with a… cornerback? Lavert Hill is the man:
Described as a 5-foot-11 defensive back that can hold is own against bigger targets, Hill could have a place across from Tre’Davious White in Buffalo’s defense. In 2019, the Bills had an underwhelming season from Levi Wallace and Kevin Johnson filled in admirably. Were those two terrible? No. But the Bills are a team led by their defense, so McDermott will want to make sure his team has zero leaks on that side of the ball. Plus, McDermott’s done a heck of a job evaluating talent in defensive backs.
