The Buffalo Bills don’t have the biggest names in terms of players on their roster that will be pending free agents. However, they do have guys that play their important parts that they could lose soon.
Two Bills players see their worth reflected in this manner, as our friends at the NFL Wire recently released their top-101 pending free agents list for the 2021 offseason. In that, two players from Buffalo appear pretty close to one another.
Per Touchdown Wire, linebacker Matt Milano clocks in as the NFL’s No. 50 free agent while offensive lineman Daryl Williams slots in right behind at 52. Reading between the lines, the Bills might want to use this list to rank which player they want to prioritize trying to re-signing this offseason first… That is, if Buffalo wants to keep both Milano and Williams.
Seeing as both Milano and Williams are ranked at nearly the same spot, we have to look outside the box to get some context and per TD Wire, Milano might be the more coveted guy on the open market.
That’s not because he’s ranked slightly higher, but in looking at the rest of their list, Milano clocks is their third-best free agent linebacker:
4. LB Lavonte David
44. LB KJ Wright
In terms of Williams, there are seven total players on the O-line finishing ahead of him:
7. OT Trent Williams
9. OG Brandon Scherff
10. OG Joe Thuney
19. OT Taylor Moton
26. C Corey Linsley
28. OT Russell Okung
30. OT Alejandro Villanueva
Of course guys at both positions offer different skill sets and abilities, however, it’s still noteworthy how limited the free agent pool of linebackers appears to be.
