Bad tenure with Redskins overall
With the Redskins, things ended bad for Norman. Last season he was eventually benched, even. He was benched first in 2018 as well.
Things did start out well, though. In that first year, Norman had 67 tackles, 19 passes defended, two forced fumbles, and three interceptions. He was named the 59th best player in the NFL by his peers.
Then over the last two years, things got downright ugly. Just this past season alone, he ranked as Pro Football Focus’ 111th-best cornerback in the NFL. Levi Wallace was 44th while Kevin Johnson was at No. 23. It hasn’t been just this season, either. Per PFF, in his first six seasons, Norman allowed 13 touchdowns. This past season, he’s allowed seven and over the past two, 16 total.
Just this past March, Bleacher Report called his deal with the Redskins one of the worst handed out in the past decade.
