RB Jonathan Taylor | Wisconsin

The Bills have said they believe in a two-back system and their roster movements over the past few seasons back that. Devin Singletary is a solid, shifty rusher, but could Jonathan Taylor be a guy that can match with him? The 5-foot-10, 226-pound back might’ve boosted his stock too much for the Bills to land him, but they probably took notice of that. Taylor clocked a 4.39-second 40-yard dash time, the fastest among running backs, and looked good as a dual-threat while catching passes.

OL Cesar Ruiz | Michigan

Speaking of that potential hole at guard if Quinton Spain departs the Bills, Cesar Ruiz could fill it. Ruiz showed he’ can be an explosive lineman off the ball with the second-highest vertical jump (33 inches) and longest broad jump (113 inches) among his position grouping. Ruiz is creeping toward first-round territory but is probably a safe bet as a Day 2 pick.

WR Justin Jefferson | LSU

Justin Jefferson also saw his stock soar thanks to his speed at the combine. The national champ produced a 4.43-second 40-yard time. He’s always been known to have solid hands and size (6-foot-1), but perhaps not the speed to match. His 40-yard time probably put him in the selection territory where the Bills pick in the first round, No. 22 overall. Buffalo met with Jefferson at the combine, he told reporters.

WR Henry Ruggs | Alabama

Heading into the combine, everyone had Henry Ruggs on their mind for, you guessed it, speed purposes. It was clear that Ruggs had it, but his goal was to blow everyone else out of the water with his speed and guess what? He did. That 4.27-second mark was the fastest. While that speed will make his a deep threat and something that the Bills will notice, he probably put himself out of range of the Bills’ first pick. He could go top-15.

RB Cam Akers | Florida State

Cam Akers put on tape that he’s a power rusher. He showed that’s what he is. In Indy, he ran a solid 4.47 40-yard dash time and also put up 20 bench press reps. In addition, Akers also looked fluid as a pass catcher during drills. Those traits could be something that attracts the Bills in an effort to team him up with Singletary. Akers said he met with the Bills at the combine as well.
