Pats sign RB Lamar Miller

Running back Lamar Miller is back in the AFC East. According to Patriots Wire, New England signed Miller to a one-year deal on Monday. Miller is coming off a torn ACL last preseason and the Texans recently acquired David Johnson via trade, so re-signing Miller made little sense for Houston.

Over the course of his career, Miller has rushed for 5,808 yards, and 32 touchdowns. His best season statistically came in 2014 as a member of the Miami Dolphins. That year, he rushed for 1,099 yards and eight touchdowns.

More recently, Miller made the Pro Bowl in 2018 with the Texans, as he put together another solid year. He played in 14 games, starting all of them. Rushing for 973 yards and five touchdowns. At 29, Miller joins a packed backfield for the Patriots, which also includes Sony Michel and Rex Burkhead. The Pats have never had a hard time managing a committee approach, so the Bills and rest of the division will have to be prepared for that.
