Young guys playing in “pressure situations”…

No moral victories… but McDermott certainly cited at least one during his end of season presser. His team lost, but he said his young players, Allen and Edmunds specifically, got some valuable playing time. Here’s how the coach explained it:

“That’s big, that’s big. With our young team, whether it’s Josh, Tremaine, or anybody else, any of the other young guys. Those moments… I can’t get those moments out here on the practice field as much as we want. I can pump the crowd noise, we can do this and that, but being in those moments, there’s something to be said for that. I know it was mentioned before the amount of experience I’ve had in the playoffs. There’s no substitute for those games. For two Super Bowl games and how you prepare for those,” McDermott said.
