7.Micah Hyde
2020 cap hit: $6.7 million
Micah Hyde signed a five-year, $30 million contract before the 2017 season, corresponding with the arrival of Sean McDermott. Hyde has been an integral part of the Bills defensive unit, which has been one of the best in the league over McDermott’s tenure.
8. Tyler Kroft
2020 cap hit: $6.4 million
Whoops. Tyler Kroft was supposed to come in and provide a large target for the offense, especially in the intermediate passing game. Unfortunately, Kroft missed the first six weeks of the season due to injury. He will look to live up to the three-year, $18.75 million contract that he signed last offseason. Rookie Dawson Knox eventually proved to be the better option. Kroft’s dead cap hit, if cut, droped from $4.3 million in 2019 to $1.6 million and $800,000 in the next two years, respectively.
