Fresh off of turning in his best performance of the season restart, New Orleans Pelicans Zion Williamson had a bit of a miscue on Monday during his postgame TV interview.

Williamson recorded 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists during a 109-99 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. He logged a season restart-high of 25 minutes in the contest and played 10 minutes alone during the fourth quarter, his most in a period at Disney.

Given his strong performance, Williamson was chosen to conduct the postgame interview. As he approached the spot on the floor to speak with Malika Andrews of ESPN, he hilariously wasn’t sure where to look during the interview.

Since players and personnel inside the Walt Disney World Resort are required to be socially distanced whenever possible, a camera operator is not present on the floor like they typically are during postgame interviews. As a result, the setup briefly presented some confusion.

Once Williamson figured things out, he told Andrews that he was thankful to play big minutes in the fourth quarter, saying he “felt alive again” on the floor. He played in 5-6 minute bursts again as he attempts to get back into the groove of playing.

Based on how he played on Monday, Williamson has a ways to go to be able to play longer than 5-6 minute intervals but he started to show flashes of his former self against the Grizzlies and that is likely a welcomed sign for the Pelicans.

The Pelicans play next on Thursday vs. the Sacramento Kings.
