Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss suffered what appeared to be a brutal injury during the Week 5 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Moss later returned to the game before exiting again. But the latest updates paint things in a positive light.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo wrote the following after the game: “Bengals RB Zack Moss (ankle) is believed to be OK, sources say. Got twisted in an awkward way, returned to the game and then left again but seems to be mostly a scare.”
Moss finished the day with nine carries for 24 yards and three catches for 28 yards.
The veteran running back continues to be in a committee with Chase Brown. He’s carried the ball 57 times to Brown’s 41 attempts over five games, yet gained just 211 yards (3.7 average) with two touchdowns. He’s fifth on the team in targets with 19, which has produced 124 yards and one score.
Should Moss need to miss time or have a reduced workload, Trayveon Williams would get more work behind Brown.
