Zach Wilson made 3 very good throws in his NFL debut that should have Jets fans excited

Not a bad start for the No. 2 pick in last April’s draft.

The Zach Wilson era began last night as he made his first NFL start in the Jets’ preseason win over the Giants at MetLife Stadium.

The No. 2 pick in last April’s NFL draft completed 6 of 9 passes for 63 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions.

It was a brief appearance but it was one that allowed the rookie QB to get some experience facing another team’s No. 1 defense and he showed some very good signs as to why he was the No. 2 pick in the draft.

NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger has a great breakdown of three passes from Wilson that stood out to him.
