Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor isn’t one to give away too many details.

Savvy even while working through a Zoom conference with the media as opposed to a press conference, Taylor hit reporters with a big “no comment” while smiling when asked if the Bengals had received any offers for the No. 1 overall pick.

And what else would he say?

A report in January said the Bengals don’t plan on trading the top pick. We commented at the time that they’ll at least listen.

Taylor and Co. are probably listening, too. No doubt the phone has been worked a few times on such a topic, though offering teams would need to come up with a historic bid at this point.

But teams have given up a ton for lesser prospects than Joe Burrow. Add in the fact the Bengals are probably harder to trade with than most and the hometown kid narrative reviving a fanbase slant and it’s hard to envision other teams getting anywhere with their offers.

Feel free to add in the Bengals used some interesting language in regards to the first pick in a letter to fans.

Cincinnati can probably expect a few offers between now and when they announce the first pick. Fans can expect them to still make Burrow the guy during the draft.
