Young Sixers Jaden Springer, Paul Reed perform well in Blue Coats win

Young Philadelphia 76ers players Jaden Springer and Paul Reed play well again in a win for the Delaware Blue Coats.

As the Philadelphia 76ers return home on Thursday following a 4-game road trip, the younger Sixers were on the road in the G League continuing their development to get back to the NBA level.

The Delaware Blue Coats were on the road taking on the Capital City Go-Go on Thursday afternoon and they had themselves a big game. They knocked off the Go-Go 114-105 and they were led by two younger Sixers who are on assignment with the Blue Coats in order to get the job done.

Rookie Jaden Springer had 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting and he knocked down two triples while second-year big man Paul Reed had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds in the win. The performances are good signs that the youngsters are continuing to grow as players in the development stage.

While Springer probably has a long way to go considering he is only 19-years old, these performances with the Blue Coats will help him grow and get to the next level. As for Reed, he still has to grow his basketball IQ and continue to be a smarter player in order for him to take the next leap. He has the skills and the motor as it is more about the intangibles at this point for him.
