After a Week 7 win over the San Fransisco 49ers that kept their undefeated season alive, the Kansas City Chiefs should feel comfortable relying on rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy, who has been among the defending champions’ most productive pass-catchers.
Worthy continued his impressive first NFL season with a three-reception performance on Sunday that helped the Chiefs keep San Francisco’s defense guessing.
With star receivers Rashee Rice and Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown on injured reserve, Worthy has stepped up to fill a crucial role in Kansas City’s offense and seems to be poised for a breakout game in the coming weeks.
Worthy spoke to NFL reporter Darren Smith in the Chiefs’ locker room after the Chiefs’ 28-18 win over the 49ers and shared his thoughts on Kansas City’s 2024 season.
Check out this video of Worthy’s comments, which was posted to Twitter by Smith on Sunday evening:
After the Chiefs 28-18 win over San Francisco, I got a chance to speak with wideout Xavier Worthy about the win, his teammates Skyy Moore and Mecole Hardman getting more reps, his thoughts on the Chiefs-Raiders rivalry and his thoughts on the Texas Longhorns’ #ChiefsKingdom pic.twitter.com/SC8bL4jOse

Expect Worthy to continue blazing his path to stardom when the Chiefs travel out West to face the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Week 8.
