Xavier Henderson set to return for extra year of eligibility

BREAKING: Xavier Henderson will be returning to MSU, using his extra year of eligibility!

Another huge piece of breaking news for the Michigan State fanbase as 2022 rolls along, MSU safety Xavier Henderson has announced he will be using his extra year of eligibility to return to East Lansing. Henderson has been a key contributor for the Spartans all four years he has been in the program and has been a mainstay in the starting lineup for the past 3 seasons.

Henderson has absolutely filled up the stat sheet during his Michigan State career, totaling 235 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 3 interceptions and a fumble recovery.

Henderson was also a team captain every week of the 2021 season, being the true leader of the defense and a great mentor to all the young players on that side of the ball.

The return of Henderson is just as big, if not bigger, than Jayden Reed’s decision to return as well. The Spartans are positioning themselves to have another strong roster in 2022.
