The free agents continue to trickle in for the Raiders. So too do those free agents who they allowed to see what was out there and then welcomed back. Keelan Cole is the latest.
The veteran receiver returns to the Raiders after spending last season with the team, appearing in 14 games with three starts.
He was in a heated competition at receiver last offseason. One he would initially lose out on when he was released with the final wave of cuts prior to the start of the season along with fellow veteran Demarcus Robinson.
Cole was then added to the practice squad and on September 6 was signed to the active roster. He didn’t see any playing time over the first couple weeks and had his first catch in week three.
It was Mack Hollins who won that competition and went on to have a solid season, starting 16 games and putting up career-highs in catches (57) and yards (690). Hollins signed on with the Atlanta Falcons recently.
Cole was not in such demand, so he will again try to win a spot on the Raiders’ roster this offseason.
