The Washington Redskins could use some depth in the secondary after the release of Josh Norman.
Why not call old friend Bashaud Breeland?
Breeland, a fourth-round pick by the Redskins in 2014, played out his contract with the team and then went elsewhere, suggesting he never had an offer to return.
Breeland played one season with Green Bay, then went to Kansas City and won a title — notching an interception in the Super Bowl.
The veteran was steady in 2019 with the champs, playing 82 percent of the defense’s snaps and allowing a completion percentage of just 48.4 on 62 targets, though he was charged with five touchdowns.
Meaning, Breeland is probably going to be affordable and on a cheap deal. There’s always this comparison to consider, too:
