Wisconsin’s lone first round product in 2002, Wendell Bryant, landed with the Arizona Cardinals and was productive his rookie season.

The Missouri native finished his first two seasons in the NFL with a combined 1.5 sacks, 44 tackles and five tackles-for-loss.

The former Badger was suspended for the 2005 season, however, due to a third strike in the NFL’s substance abuse policy and never made it back onto an NFL field.

He tried to make a comeback with the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League in 2009, though never could break through and was placed in injured reserve midway through his first season.
