Wisconsin’s first round draft picks since 2000

Wisconsin may not be the first school that comes to mind when you think of first round picks in the NFL Draft as even the program’s…

Finally, last but not least, Ryan Ramczyk is the latest in the long line of Wisconsin offensive linemen to be selected in the first round and find NFL success.

The Wisconsin native took a round-about path to initially get to play for the Badgers, as he started at Madison Area Technical College for a semester, then went to Mid-State Technical College for a semester, then transferred to UW-Stevens Point for his first season of football, then finally went to UW-Madison when Chryst took over as coach in 2015.

Since being selected by the New Orleans Saints 32nd overall in the 2017 NFL Draft the former Badger has only missed one game at left tackle and was recently named as a first-team All-Pro after last season.

The former Badger is set to return as the left tackle in New Orleans as quarterback Drew Brees looks to overcome the obstacles in the NFC and win his second Super Bowl.

The NFL Draft starts tonight at 8 p.m. EDT as Zack Baun and Jonathan Taylor await the chance to join this list of former Badgers to be selected in the first round.
