Wisconsin versus Iowa football series history

Can Badgers regain the Heartland Trophy?

The Badgers football team (4-1) will take on Iowa (5-1) at home on Saturday at 3PM. The two programs have faced each other 96 times throughout their football history with Wisconsin owning a 49-45-2 overall advantage over their Big Ten foe.

Over the last 10 matchups, the Badgers have gone 7-3, though when they last faced one another, Iowa came out on top 24-10 on Nov. 12, 2022. Lastly, at home, Wisconsin has produced a 29-19-1 record against the Hawkeyes.

The most notable storyline for Iowa in the upcoming contest is the fact that Deacon Hill, a former Badger who transferred this past offseason, will be starting under center for the Hawkeyes. He will be making his second start with the team.

The two teams currently sit at the top of the Big Ten West standings with Wisconsin (2-0 in conference) holding the slight advantage over Iowa (2-1 in conference).

Luke Fickell and his Badgers will look to bring the Heartland Trophy back to Madison when the two teams face off Saturday.
