Wisconsin top-ranked 2025 running back target Byron Louis will announce his collegiate commitment on Sept. 21, per his recent X post.
Louis, who nailed his final four schools down to Wisconsin, Miami, Florida State and Georgia in early August, is now officially within one month of his final decision.
While the 5-foot-11, 200-pounder did take visits to all four universities this summer, On3’s recruiting prediction machine gives the Seminoles a 91.7% chance to land a commitment.
The top-ranked running back is currently ranked as 247Sports’ No. 222 player in the class of 2025, No. 16 running back and No. 34 recruit from the state of Florida. Noles247 contributor Zach Blostein also placed a recent crystal ball prediction for Louis to land in Tallahassee, Florida.

Louis’ commitment would be monumental for Luke Fickell and company. Wisconsin’s current class of 2025 does not boast a commitment at his position yet, and the recruiting battle will mark UW’s last opportunity to land a running back for next fall. Wisconsin’s class of 2025 currently ranks No. 24 in the nation with 23 players committed.
It appears as if Louis’ Ft. Lauderdale roots may tip the scales for an FSU commitment. But, given UW’s recent history in producing top-tier running back talent, he could shock his suitors come Sept. 21.
