Wisconsin sends out several new scholarship offers in 2021 and 2022

Wisconsin has been busy on the recruiting trail this week, extending offers to several prospects in the classes of 2021 and 2022.

Wisconsin has been keeping itself busy on the recruiting trail so far this week, with the staff extending offers to prospects in both the 2021 and 2022 classes. Here’s a quick lowdown on each of them.

Joshua Burnham

First up was 2022 outside linebacker Joshua Burnham (Traverse City, Mich.). who announced his Wisconsin offer on Monday evening.

The Badgers are the fourth program to offer the 6-2, 195-pounder, joining Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Iowa. Burnham is just the second linebacker to have earned a Wisconsin offer in the class of 2022 so far.

Burnham has not yet received a ranking from the recruiting services.

Junior Colson

Another outside linebacker (this time in the 2021 class), Colson took to Twitter on Tuesday morning to announce his latest offer.

The 6-2, 201-pounder from Brentwood, Tenn. already finds himself situated fairly highly in the 247Sports composite rankings at No. 14 for his position and No. 208 overall, and his massive offer list reflects that: Arkansas, Auburn, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, South Carolina, Tennessee, Toledo, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Western Kentucky have all thrown their hats in the ring for Colson’s services.

Robert Regan

Next up was Regan, a 5-10, 170-pound cornerback in the class of 2021 from Orange, Calif.

A 3-star prospect who ranks No. 25 at his position and No. 468 overall nationally, he has compiled a nice offer list early on that includes Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, BYU, Florida, Kansas, LSU, Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, Utah State and Washington State.

Nicholas Singleton

Wisconsin dished out its first offer to a running back in the class of 2022 to Singleton on Tuesday afternoon.

The 5-11, 195-pounder from Reading, Pa. has not been ranked yet, but will likely be slotted fairly high whenever he is considering the impressive list of schools that have already offered, a group that includes Boston College, Duke, Michigan, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Penn State, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse, Temple, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and UConn.

J. Michael Sturdivant

Perhaps the most intriguing offer from Wisconsin so far this week went to Sturdivant, a 6-2, 183-pound wide receiver out of Flower Mound, Texas in 2021.

A 3-star prospect currently ranked as the nation’s No. 79 receiver and No. 466 overall player, Sturdivant boasts other early offers from Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Ohio State, Purdue, SMU, Syracuse and TCU.

This will likely be a tough recruitment for Wisconsin to come out on top of, but it can’t hurt that the Badgers will be able to dangle the possibility of catching passes from his former neighbor.

Taleeq Robbins

The final prospect (so far) to take to Twitter and announce a Wisconsin offer this week was Robbins, a 6-3, 281-pound defensive tackle out of Philadelphia.

Robbins is currently ranked at No. 52 for his position nationally and No. 949 overall, but his offer list suggests that he is probably poised to get a pretty big bump at some point down the line. Arizona State, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Massachusetts, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and West Virginia are some of the schools involved so far.
