The only downside of Wisconsin’s 38-0 win over Illinois State in Week 1? Injuries, specifically to safety Hunter Wohler and right tackle Riley Mahlman.
According to the Week 2 injury report released on Monday, Wohler will miss this Saturday’s matchup with Washington State. Utah transfer Kamo’i Latu, who had a few impressive debut moments last Saturday, will slide into the starting safety spot.
After exiting the Week 1 win with a leg injury, it appears to be good news for Mahlman as he was not listed on the injury report.
According to Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst, Wohler will miss “a bit of time,” after last Saturday’s injury.
