The Badgers jumped in on Utah transfer safety Kamo’i Latu just a few days after he decided to enter the portal.
Wisconsin connections are there for the Hawaii product, as he was high school teammates with Badger star OLB Nick Herbig at Saint Louis High School in Honolulu.
Latu is a class of 2020 safety who was a three-star prospect according to 247Sports. Last season, he played in all 14 games for the Utes as they took home the Pac-12 championship and battled Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. He totaled 19 tackles and three passes defended, while making one start.
